Shavkat Mirziyoyev: “Further improvement of medical service quality – the requirement of time”

The head of our state visited “Shifo Nur” multidisciplinary medical center in Yunusabad district where he got acquainted with conditions created for doctors and patients, projects on organization of conservative and surgical treatment of diseases in adults and children, strengthening of cooperation with leading foreign clinics, attracting highly qualified specialists.

Consistent activities are carried out on protection of motherhood and childhood, improving the quality and effectiveness of medical services, strengthening the material and technical base of medical institutions in our country. Much attention is paid to development of private healthcare sector. An important guide to action in this direction is the resolution of the President of our country “On measures of further development of private healthcare sector” of April 1, 2017.

“Shifo Nur” multidisciplinary medical center is organized in 2013. More than 60 qualified doctors are providing the population with qualitative services in the areas of ophthalmology, plastic surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, neurology, gynecology, otolaryngology, stomatology, physiotherapy and optics in the center which is designed for 36 beds.

It is necessary to provide medical facilities with modern medical equipment, improve the quality of medical services, said the President of our country. With the introduction of the most modern technologies, it is also necessary to ensure their effective use, to constantly improve the knowledge and qualifications of doctors.

Drilling operations start at Mingbulak deposit in Namangan region

Drilling operations have started in Namangan region, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures on implementation of investment project for exploration and development of Mingbulak deposit”.

The goal of the project is to provide oil production up to 200 thousand tons per annum using the most modern technologies. It is also planned to drill four new exploration wells.

In April 2007, Uzbekneftegaz and CNPC signed an Agreement on main principles of cooperation on joint exploration and development of Mingbulak deposit. In 2008, in order to increase the production of hydrocarbons, attract foreign investment and modern technologies for efficient exploration and development of Mingbulak deposit in Namangan region, Uzbekneftegaz and Chinese CNPC signed an agreement to establish a joint venture. In the framework of this project, it is planned to organise 136 new jobs.

Uzbek delegation participates in meeting of Cooperation Council “Uzbekistan-EU”

On July 17, 2017, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, will participate in the next meeting of the Cooperation Council “Uzbekistan-European Union” in Brussels.

During the visit to Brussels, the Uzbek delegation will hold bilateral negotiations with the heads of the foreign policy departments of the European Union, Belgium and other meetings in various formats.

Contest ‘You Are the Only One, My Holy Motherland!’

The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan has become the venue for the final round of the Contest among higher education institutions ‘You Are the Only One, My Holy Motherland!’ timed to the 26th anniversary of our country’s independence.

This creative project plays an important role in the formation in the younger generation of the lofty sense of patriotism, fidelity to the home country, and responsibility for its future. The music festival was held under the motto “My love and fidelity to you, my Uzbekistan.”

Qualifying rounds of the contest got involved over 13 thousand young people across the country, who showcased their talents performing bright and remembering songs.

The representatives of 14 higher education institutions reached the finale, whose performing skills were highly estimated by the competent jury.

The songs glorifying our home country, its sceneries, and achievements gained within the years of independence, were performed in the contest.

“This festive event provides young people the opportunity to manifest their talents,” Mirzufar Sharipov, student at the Mirzo Ulughbek National University of Uzbekistan, said, who in the contest performed the song ‘Jannat O’zbekistonim.’

The first prize of the contest went to the Guldasta band from the Alisher Navoi Samarkand State University with the song ‘O’ktam Diyor’ (The Beautiful Land) and the Ziyo Sadolari students’ group of the Karshi State University with the song ‘Mustaqil Vatan’ (The Independent Motherland).

The 11-year-old prodigy from Uzbekistan has won the Olympiad "Mathematics without Borders - 2017"

1,200 schoolchildren from 11 countries of the world fought to win the International Olympiad in the town of Nessebar, Bulgaria.

The victory was secured in the end by Ubay Yakhyaev from Uzbekistan who was awarded a gold medal. The juvenile prodigy wields not only mathematical talents. He is fluent in Russian, English and French. The boy studies at the private school Erudite in Tashkent.
