Raiffeisenbank to hold a banking summit in Tashkent

Raiffeisenbank and its head structure Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) will hold a Banking Summit in Tashkent on 26 June.

The summit will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. The RBI delegation from Vienna will be headed by Axel Zummer, head of the department of financial institutions.

“Raiffeisenbank has a great interest in working with Uzbekistan. The economy of this country has significant growth potential. Our conference is primarily aimed at banks and financial companies. We will talk about the benefits of cooperation with an international bank, about products and services that will help find solutions that meet the interests of business,” commented Anastasia Evstigneeva, head of financial institutions at Raiffeisenbank. - Raiffeisenbank continues to develop cooperation with companies and banks in the post-Soviet space. We are already actively working with banks and issuers from Belarus and Tajikistan. Recently we were the organizers of two issues of Eurobonds of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus and saw a high demand for these securities. We believe that foreign investors will want to participate in similar projects in Uzbekistan, and a foreign bank with a representative office in Russia can become a hub for all sorts of transactions and projects in the CIS countries. ”

Representatives of Raiffeisenbank and RBI will talk about financial products, including placement of bonds, forex transactions, depository and clearing services, brokerage services, trade finance, as well as important aspects of compliance and correspondent relationships.
