A Chamber of Innovative Healthcare

On the basis of the Scientific Research Institute of Public Healthcare and Healthcare Organization under the Ministry of Health, the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan is established, which will have structural units in Karakalpakstan, provinces and Tashkent.

Its tasks include the elaboration of a health development strategy, taking into account the best world practices, modern clinical guidelines and protocols, quality standards for diagnosis and treatment, digitalization of the system for collecting and analyzing medical statistics, the introduction of a system for registration of doctors and pharmacists, the establishment of an international healthcare infrastructure, monitoring of the degree of professional qualification of medical workers, including through their individual licensing, the introduction of mechanisms of the elimination of medical errors, medical insurance of citizens, attraction of foreign investments and accelerated development of private health.

The National Chamber will unite medical and pharmaceutical workers of the country and can act as the founder of medical, pharmaceutical and other organizations.

By 31 December 2020, the system of registration of doctors and pharmacists should be introduced in the country along with their integrated, generally accessible electronic database.

From January 1, 2021, the activity of doctors and pharmacists without registration in the National Chamber is prohibited.

Under the National Chamber, an Advisory Board will be established to introduce an innovative healthcare model in Uzbekistan, as much as the Fund for Support of Innovative Healthcare in Uzbekistan.

It is planned to attract expert support from leading foreign organizations to the reform of the health management system, including from GMC Service International (UK).
